Security Officer Patrol
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document relevant details according to site guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, assist with crowd and line management during busy periods, and communicate with site contacts regarding security-related concerns.
- Support loss prevention awareness by observing activity within the location, reporting suspicious behavior, and following post orders for incident response and/or follow-up.
Requirements
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications include a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
