Security Officer Patrol

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol professional at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with store leadership and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, exits, stock areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or security-related issues according to site procedures.
• Support loss prevention and store operations by documenting incidents, completing required reports, and assisting with crowd management during busy shopping periods and/or special events.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include:

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
