What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report maintenance, access control, and/or operational concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and assist with visitor, vendor, and/or vehicle access in accordance with site protocols.
- Support day-to-time operations by preparing clear reports, relaying important information, and assisting with security-related requests while maintaining a professional presence.
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience is required.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
