Job Description
As a Security Officer Patrol in Ponca City, OK, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication.
What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify entry and exit activity according to site instructions, helping to support authorized access for personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries.
- Aid with routine reporting, communication, and follow-up related to incidents, maintenance concerns, and other site-specific security-related matters.
Minimum Requirements
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
