Security Officer Patrol

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and vendor activity, and report maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate personnel.
• Support daily operations by assisting with crowd management, directional assistance, and customer interactions during peak shopping periods, special events, and/or closing procedures.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement for unarmed roles: 18 years old.
• Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21 years old.

Skills

• Customer service experience.
• CPR and/or First Aid experience.
• Alarm panel experience.
• Access control and/or badge experience.
• Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet.
