Security Officer Patrol
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer serving an educational location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, noting and reporting unusual activity and/or conditions.
- Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry while following site-specific protocols.
- Complete routine reports and communicate relevant observations, incidents, and/or concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
