Security Officer Patrol
Job Description
As a Security Officer Patrol in Anchorage, AK, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service.
What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions that may require attention.
- Monitor access to municipal facilities and help to enforce site rules, screening procedures, and authorized entry requirements while maintaining a courteous presence.
- Support public-facing operations by providing directions, answering general questions, and assisting with de-escalation during routine interactions and/or heightened situations.
Minimum Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
