Security Officer Part Time Visitor Registration

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by monitoring entry points, verifying authorized access, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and support a visible presence that helps deter incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Monitor entry points and verify credentials, visitor registrations, and authorized access in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records and communicate access-related concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to access-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
