Security Officer Part Time Visitor Registration

About the Role

As a Part-Time Security Officer (Visitor Registration) in Spanaway, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. This role involves managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring visitor activity, and maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees, contractors, and guests while supporting access procedures and reporting concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor access control systems, verify credentials, issue visitor and contractor passes, and maintain accurate entry, exit, and delivery records in accordance with site procedures.
• Control access to restricted areas, employee entrances, shipping and receiving areas, and other designated locations while helping to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including the business perimeter, to identify and report security-related concerns, damaged access points, and unusual activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$23.40 / Hour

Schedule

• Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
