About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and provide courteous communication to residents, guests, and vendors. You will maintain a visible presence, report security-related concerns, and help create a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor, vendor, and contractor access as required, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential community areas, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
• Communicate professionally with residents and property personnel while supporting a welcoming, controlled environment.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
