About the role
As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will manage access points, verify credentials, issue badges, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Using computer or tablet systems, you will help identify and report security-related concerns while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
- Monitor entry points and verify authorized access in accordance with established visitor, employee, and vendor protocols.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters through appropriate channels.
- Maintain accurate access-related logs, visitor records, and incident documentation in alignment with site requirements.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Sunday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
