As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service.

What You'll Do

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a behavioral health care setting.
  • Respond to incidents, behavioral health emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or unauthorized access.
  • Maintain access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with visitor direction and maintaining a professional presence in patient care areas.
  • Document incidents, observations, patrol activity, and shift information accurately; communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
