Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and maintain professional communication with campus stakeholders and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Skills
- Customer service skills.
- Computer literacy is preferred.
- Ability to follow procedures and respond calmly to emergencies.
- Attention to detail for reporting and maintaining records.
