About the role
As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. This unarmed patrol driver role in Lakeland, FL, involves conducting routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service. A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, parking areas, loading zones, office spaces, and perimeter boundaries; report unusual conditions or hazards.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required by site procedures, and help deter unauthorized entry.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
- Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift records; report maintenance concerns, policy violations, or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of security-related experience.
- A Guard Card/License is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
