About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location in Redwood City, CA, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and address security-related concerns with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial real estate buildings, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, and unusual observations through daily activity reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$21.00 / hour
