About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an educational campus location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and campus stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
  • Have customer service experience (preferred).
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$18.04 / hour

Schedule

  • Day shift: Monday 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM
  • Day shift: Tuesday 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM
