Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Service

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and support a welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual conditions, access concerns, hazards, and policy violations, and document observations through required reports and daily activity logs.
• Provide directions, support campus operations and events, and maintain a professional presence while interacting respectfully with the campus community.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

$17.00 / Hour

Schedule

• Tuesday: 10:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wednesday: 10:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thursday: 10:00 PM - 07:00 AM
