About the role

As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Service in Greensboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational setting, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate clearly, and deliver excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, damaged property, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and daily observations accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and campus representatives.

Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
