Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Alarm Console

About the role

As a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Commercial Real Estate. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and the opportunity to explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns while providing exceptional customer service and supporting access control and alarm-related operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, tenants, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building common areas, entrances, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and maintain accurate logs and reports.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Document observations, incidents, and maintenance or security-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
