Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Alarm Console

About the Role

As a Part-Time Unarmed Patrol Alarm Console Security Officer in Montgomery, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Commercial Real Estate. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and site needs while providing courteous customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial office property.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, or access issues.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel as directed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies to maintain an orderly environment.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Note: This site has limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

$16.30 / Hour

• Thursday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Friday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
