About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol Monitoring in Pearl, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and the opportunity to explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, delivery-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to the location by observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, verifying authorization as directed, and reporting unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
