As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment through professionalism, teamwork, and integrity while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, tenants, and retail patrons by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, retail spaces, parking areas, building exteriors, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
