Security Officer Part Time - Experienced

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related issues.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions when required, and assist with visitor processing in accordance with site protocols and post instructions.
• Support daily operations by communicating with site contacts, following post orders, and completing routine logs, reports, and other assigned security-related duties.

Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications for this role include a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
