Security Officer Part Time Customer Assistance Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology and media location in Birmingham, MI, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Use computer or tablet tools to document observations and assist visitors and employees.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and guests at a technology and media campus by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor entry and exit points, support visitor management procedures, and report access-control irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Friday: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
