Security Guard Part Time Customer Assistance Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors, support a welcoming environment, and use computer or tablet tools as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, lobbies, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and document security-related incidents, observations, and patrol activities.
• Support a professional workplace environment by following Allied Universal procedures, maintaining awareness of site conditions, and providing clear directions and assistance to authorized occupants and visitors.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

$16.89 / hour
