Security Officer Part Time Controlled Entry

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at an industrial location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a professional presence that helps deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with employees, visitors, and team members while supporting site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Screen and direct vehicle, delivery, and personnel traffic in accordance with established site procedures while helping to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, business grounds, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Pay

$16.89 / hour

Schedule

• Tuesday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wednesday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sunday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
