Security Officer Part Time - Entry Control

As a Security Officer (Part‑Time Entry Control) in Spokane, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as logistics and distribution. The position offers flexible scheduling through the “Claim a Shift” platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points for personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers; verify credentials and maintain required access records.
• Screen inbound and outbound vehicle traffic in accordance with site procedures, including documenting trailer, package, and delivery information as required.
• Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Guard Card or license (preferred).
• Minimum age: 18 years for unarmed roles; 21 years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, subject to state and/or local regulations.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$20.54 per hour

Schedule

Daytime: Monday 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM; Friday 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM; Saturday 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM.
