Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and monitoring entry and exit activity for a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Aid patients, visitors, staff, and vendors with check-in procedures, directions, and other access-related questions while supporting security-related policies.
  • Maintain doors, gates, badging systems, and restricted areas to help support authorized access and help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
