Security Officer Part Time Badge Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location in Talladega, AL, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, communicate professionally with staff and visitors, and respond to incidents with integrity and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to facility personnel, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas, documenting observations and irregular conditions.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations to designated personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to supervisors and appropriate facility contacts.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Pay

$14.34 / hour

Schedule

• Monday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tuesday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Friday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
