About the role
As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will help support a secure, welcoming environment by monitoring access points, verifying credentials, managing visitor entry, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while helping to deter incidents.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, employees, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Control access to designated healthcare areas by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining visitor records, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate locations.
- Monitor entrances, access-control systems, and alarm activity; report unusual activity, access concerns, and equipment issues according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate site personnel and emergency responders when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.

$19.66 / Hour
Schedule
- Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Sunday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
