About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a leading aerospace and defense location in Jacksonville, FL, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a professional environment for employees and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible, reliable presence.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Monitor and control access points, verify identification and credentials, manage visitor entry processes, and maintain accurate access-related records for restricted areas.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized entry and identify unusual activity.
• Report security-related concerns, equipment issues, and policy violations to appropriate site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Schedule

• Day shift: 07:00 PM – 07:00 AM (Saturday)
• Night shift: 07:00 PM – 07:00 AM (Sunday)
