About the role

As a Part-Time Armed Patrol Emergency Readiness Security Officer in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as financial institutions. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Armed Security Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas while maintaining accurate activity logs and incident reports.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site leadership and appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Armed guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
