Security Officer Part Time Access Patrol
About the role
As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Access Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by assignment.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, unsecured doors, hazards, and other security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Assist with access control, visitor direction, and the documentation of incidents, patrol activities, and security-related observations.
Requirements
- Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
