Security Officer Part Time Access Patrol

About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Jacksonville, FL, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control operations. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling options through our Claim a Shift platform.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors, maintaining visitor records, and reporting unauthorized access attempts in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
- Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and communicate relevant security-related information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
Pay
$17.00 / hour
Schedule
- Monday: 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM
- Friday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Saturday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
