Security Officer Part Time Access Patrol

About the Role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a higher education location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide courteous service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. This part-time position offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations on campus in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, residence areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately while maintaining professional communication with the campus community.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$18.25 / hour

Schedule

• Wednesday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thursday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Friday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
