Security Officer - Midday Shift

About the role

As a Security Officer Screening Associate in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or shipping documentation, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Perform screening of individuals, packages, and/or personal belongings in accordance with post orders and location requirements to help support compliance with security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site representatives and/or first responders when needed.
• Carry out regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, with attention to loading, shipping, and receiving areas where conditions and responsibilities may vary by site.

Requirements

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement for unarmed roles: 18 years old.
• Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21 years old.

Skills

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs.
• Customer service experience.
• Loss prevention experience.
• Access control and badge experience.
• Computer or tablet usage.
