Security Officer Logistics - Unarmed
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. This role involves monitoring entry points, verifying badges and visitor access, responding to alarm panel activity, conducting routine patrols, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor access control points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue temporary access credentials as directed, and maintain accurate access-related records.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, restricted areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
- Document incidents, access irregularities, and unusual activity in accordance with site procedures, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Requirements
- Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21 years old for armed roles.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
