Job Description

As a Security Officer Licensed Experience Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, residents, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related support, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and public agency representatives as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Maintain a visible presence, assist with de-escalation when appropriate, and complete required reports, logs, and incident documentation.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Licensing Requirements

• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
