Security Officer Hospital Deescalation Support

About the Role

As a Security Officer Hospital Deescalation Support in Cleveland, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in healthcare settings. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role emphasizes exceptional customer service, professional communication, and teamwork in responding to security-related needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, assist with directing visitors, support visitor management procedures, and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or responding personnel.

Requirements

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$16.00 / Hour
