Security Officer Hospital Support

About the role

As a Security Officer Hospital Support in Lancaster, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. You will help support a welcoming, secure environment at a leading medical facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, disturbances, and access-related concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with facility policies, directing individuals to appropriate locations and reporting unusual activity.
• Aid with documenting incidents, completing required reports, and communicating relevant information to hospital personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses required may be required prior to employment.

Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
