Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and/or emergency response activities within a public healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, entrances, waiting areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential security-related concerns.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents.
  • Support access control activities.
  • Monitor visitor, staff, and vendor movement throughout the location, helping to support authorized access practices and reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activity in required reports, and communicate with site contacts, first responders, and Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Ability to meet hospital vaccine requirements is required.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
