Security Officer Hospital Patrol Support

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management in accordance with site policies, providing directions and support to individuals entering and leaving the location.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Pay

Pay Rate: $17.87 - $18.87 / Hour
