Security Officer Hospital Access Control
About the role
As a Security Officer Hospital Access Control in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to maintain a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, providing directions and assistance while helping to maintain orderly operations.
- Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and concerns to appropriate personnel in accordance with established procedures.
Requirements
- Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
- A Security Professional Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Preferred to have a Security Professional Guard Card or license.
- At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years old for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
