Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Vehicle Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location in La Porte, TX, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and vehicle activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and document observations, incidents, and patrol activity.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly flow of personnel, visitors, and deliveries while following site-specific procedures.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

$15.45 / hour

• Tuesday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Saturday: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sunday: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
