What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, retailers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a retail and commercial property location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting events in accordance with site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, retail spaces, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to site management or Allied Universal leadership.
- Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while providing a professional presence for guests and occupants.
Minimum Requirements
- A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
