Security Officer - Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Support

About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Crystal City, VA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a corporate technology office by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, lobbies, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Pay

$21.75 / hour

• Wednesday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thursday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Friday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Saturday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
