Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Support

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier commercial real estate location in Columbus, OH, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial office areas, common spaces, parking facilities, building entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
