Security Officer - Full Time Unarmed Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location in Ashburn, VA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor and contractor records, and report access-control concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, perimeter, parking areas, and critical infrastructure areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$23.36 / hour

Schedule

• Daytime shift: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Monday through Thursday
