Security Officer - Full Time Unarmed Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver Emergency Preparedness in Redwood City, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. This driving post offers the opportunity to support students, faculty, staff, and visitors through clear communication, routine patrols, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residential spaces, parking facilities, walkways, and perimeter areas, with working conditions varying by assignment.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Observe and report unusual activity, potential hazards, access concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Assist with access control, visitor guidance, directions, and support for campus events and activities while maintaining a professional presence.

Qualifications

• Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
• Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess supervisory experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

$26.80 / Hour

Day Time: Mon 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM, Tue 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM, Fri 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM, Sat 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM, Sun 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM
