Security Officer - Full Time Unarmed Patrol

About the role

As a Full Time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in Springfield, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and deliver outstanding customer service. You will use communication and technology tools to report observations and assist visitors and employees.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document incidents, irregular conditions, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.

$18.00 / Hour

• Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sunday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
